Crazy Questions You’ll Get Asked About Vaping! (And How to Answer Them!)

Ah, you know how it goes when you blaze a trail; everyone’s going to have an opinion, they’re going to report about spin-stories they’ve heard on the evening news, and they’re going to ask some pretty wild questions. So when vaping, don’t be surprised if you get asked some crazy question! Here is a sample of a few of them, and how to answer!

How do you know what’s in those things?

Well, any good e-cigarette brand will let you know what’s in your e-cigarette. Most brands that care about their reputation will share what’s in them, and typically the ingredient list of cartridges is relatively quite small, especially compared to the THOUSANDS of ingredients and toxins found in traditional cigarettes.

How do you know it’s any different than smoking cigarettes?

The similarities are there; they contain nicotine, vapor, and the ability to use them like cigarettes, but that’s where they end. They contain no tobacco and nothing gets burned; the main components in smoking a cigarette, so that’s where the similarities end, making them very different.

How bad does it taste?

Taste is subjective; not everyone likes the same things. Part of smoking e-cigarettes is finding a brand that works for you. Often part of the figuring things out in the beginning will entail trying different e-cigarette flavors. Most people who stick with e-cigs find flavors they really enjoy, and do not use them if they taste bad!

Aren’t they more dangerous than regular cigarettes?

Testing is currently being done, but so far there has been no data to prove that e-cigarettes are any more dangerous than traditional cigarettes.

The bottom line is that you should not believe everything you hear! E-cigarettes have been used for around 5 years, and when used with common sense, they are enjoyable, satisfying, tobacco-free alternatives to traditional cigarettes!
