75f7e9a20b5daa6066126a523e081c26Electronic cigarettes and celebrities go hand in hand, or shall we say like an e-cig in hand? Vaping has enabled celebrities, in the age of smoking being uncool, to retain their hip status and still have their nicotine fix. Since electronic cigarettes hit the American market, celebrities were among the first to grab them. Known for being ahead of the trends, it was a good move on their part because not only did it bring them attention for hyping up a new product, it gave e-cigs instant credibility because trendsetters were on to them. Here’s a look at why e-cigarettes are so popular.

Fast forward to the present, and the number of stars who vape in the spotlight are countless. Now, with the e-cigarette movement hotter than ever, and more and more users happy to have made the switch to vapor smoking, celebrities have only contributed to their rise.

As of late, the celebs who have been proudly vaping in public, and getting photographed doing so have been many. We love that they are setting a great example for those who take inspiration in them by vaping proudly, and for choosing not to smoke tobacco cigarettes. Considering the bad reputation cigarettes have acquired, and the fact that no one really looks cool smoking traditional smokes anymore, it’s no wonder the Hollywood set has switched to vapor.

Some of the stars who are flaunting their e-cigarettes include Katherine Heigl, Kate Moss, Leonardo DiCaprio, Simon Cowell, Alexa Chung, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Katy Perry, John Cusack, Jack Nicholson, Sean Penn, Lindsay Lohan, Robert Pattinson, Kevin Connolly, Dennis Quaid, Britney Spears, Christina Milian, Bruno Mars, Charlie Sheen, and Johnny Depp throughout his role in the film “The Tourist.”

Quite an A-list full of star power, making great smoking choices right? With all of these celebs getting headlines for their e-smoking, and proudly showing off their alternative cigarettes on camera, it only goes to show how big this movement is, and how Hollywood is leading the pack!

E-cigarettes and the Media

People love e-cigarettes. Famous folks love e-cigarettes. Everywhere these days, electronic alternatives are being used proudly in public view! Some very famous celebrity types have been seen vaping over the years, and it has certainly solidified the movement.

If you thumb through a celebrity magazine, watch celeb news on TV, or happen upon any kind of “What’s Happening in Hollywood” type website, you will surely see e-cigarettes being flashed like the hottest accessories around.

The association is simple; Hollywood has always loved cigarettes; and now they love electronic cigarettes. The reasons they have fully embraced the vapor trend is because simply, it lets them have their cake and eat it too. Electronic cigs give all the pleasure, and a very similar experience as they are used without the tobacco, smoke, and tar. Anyone who has smoked knows the feeling well, and having something to take its place entirely is very much worth a chance in using. E-cigs have turned out to be so enjoyable, thousands upon thousands of smokers have switched, celebs included, and have not looked back!

Hollywood is a vain crowd, and so much of their professional lives comes down to their appearance, whether you agree with it or not. Cigarettes, being the toxin-filled, carcinogenic beauty-killers they are, do not help the cause by any means. From staining the teeth to staining the skin; tarnishing the complexion and removing the luster from your hair; and the most dreaded of all, contributing to fine lines and wrinkles; effects that are all less than desirable, and very dangerous when you’re being paid to look as good and as young as possible. Vapor, at the least, allows users to avoid the trouble and stress that come with smoke.

Among those who call electronic cigarettes their vice of choice are Leonardo DiCaprio, Katherine Heigl, JWOW, Trace Cyrus, Charlie Sheen, Lindsay Lohan, Jeremy Piven, Olivia Munn and her boyfriend Joel Kinnaman, Harrison Ford, Robert Pattinson, Dennis Quaid, Kate Moss, Jenny McCarthy, and Simon Cowell. That’s a lot of star power in one sentence; if thousands of normal people are in on it, and that much of Hollywood is flaunting their electronic smokes, it says a lot!
